Arts & Crafts

The Arts & Crafts program encourages children to develop visual and fine motor skills while expanding their imaginations. Campers work with a variety of media including watercolor and oil paint, fabric, clay, and jewelry-making materials.

Drama

The Drama program is designed to help every child strengthen his/her confidence on stage, through theater games, improvisation, and storytelling activities. Drama skits and plays are performed at Friday Assemblies and are open to parents and friends.

Dance

The Dance program focuses on creative movement as a means of expression. Children learn appropriate warm-up exercises and are exposed to a variety of dance styles, from modern to jazz, hip-hop, ballet, and country line dancing.

Music

The Music program exposes children to songs from a variety of musical genres ranging from folk to pop, show tunes, and oldies. Theme week "song challenges," creative movement, and fun with instruments, enhance the musical experience.

Swimming

Swimming takes place in our outdoor, heated swimming pool. 4 year old campers take part in a half-hour instructional swim lesson each morning. 5-8 year-old campers have a 40-minute lesson each day, as well as 20 minutes of supervised free swim. The Brimmer and May Swim program is affiliated with the American Red Cross "Learn-to-Swim" program. All of our aquatics instructors are WSI, LGT, CPR, and First-Aid certified.

Sports & Games

The Sports & Games program allows children to develop flexibility, balance, and gross motor coordination, as well as a sense of fair play. Teambuilding--rather than competition--is emphasized in every Sports & Games activity, from wacky relays to trust-walk kickball, to classic camp favorites like Capture the Flag and Hug Tag.

Archery

In the Archery program, offered to our 6-8 year-olds, campers are closely supervised as they receive instruction in both safety procedures and archery technique. Additional emphasis is placed on hand-eye coordination.
